Why I love the Cook...

I love David Cook.

My classmates can attest to that specifically El Parac for I had made a deal with her that I'll pay her fare for one week in exchange of David Cook tracks and pictures! hehehe! Thanks el!

Before, I never laid my ears that long to rock music! I was never been a fan of the genre just until I've seen and heard David Cook during the American Idol days that gave me goosebumps not expecting to listen to songs I've never imagined sounding that good with his own versions.'Always Be My Baby', 'Billie Jean' and 'Hello' are just few of them. From Day 1 till the Final Results Night, he was already my bet and never did I miss an episode of the show. In the Philippines, it's aired twice at night and that was an advantage for me since sometimes, I can't watch the first runtime of the show so the second is the one that I don't really miss. The Finals Night was really sweat-dropping since David Cook just got negative responses from Simon Cowell but for me, it was done for a purpose. Maybe to let the fans vote as hard as they had ever imagined and Simon did succeed, david Cook won! Now, so much for the victorious moment in the American Idol days.

Why I love David Cook? simple...HE ROCKS! he rocked the whole world down that he even sent some of his versions on the billboard just after he was proclaimed the American Idol! yah, he did that! cool huh?? Another thing is, he made me love rock as much as I love food! hehehe! he was my music-genre-turning-point! and for a person to do that to me, unbelievable!that's the reason why I love him!

What makes me sad is that I can't see him in person! gosh, I'm million miles away from him and I'm so jealous of the fans who caught a glimpse of him in flesh! Lucky for you girls! tsk tsk tsk! What's more depressing is that there's a possibility that he'll be having a concert here in the Philippines probably this January 2009!You might be asking why it's depressing, well, the concert will be held in Manila and not in Cebu and just the thought that he'll be here in the Philippines yet I can't see him really saddens me!huhuhu! If you'll ask again why can't I just go to Manila, my answer will be...I don't have the bucks to go there! It's depressing right?? Anyway, so much for my sad and depressing moments! I'll now end this before I cry a bucket of tears here!Just hope David Cook could visit this blog and read this post! hehehe!

To those who wanna to know more about David Cook, just visit http://www.david-cook.org/ and please do support him! He's a big catch in the music scene! ciao!

People I'm dying to meet..

1.David Cook-he's my music idol.No doubt about that!
2.Bjarne Stroustrup, creator of C++-my head is bowed down unto him! He's really a genius! 3.Father of Physics-Just to know why on earth he created Physics!
4.Adam, Eve and the snake-Just to know how Eve will react if Adam loves the snake too.hehe
5.Dan Brown-the 'Da Vinci Code' is really fantastic! Literally speaking!
6.Inventor of nebulizer-without him, I'll be having a hard time with my asthma.
7.Fairest lady second to me-for survey purposes!

Reminiscing my Highschool Memories

They always say that highschool is one of the best part of life! I will definitely agree to that! I can still remember my first day in class, how I made new friends, and all those normal stuff that a highschool student would do!

My 4-year stay in La Consolacion College-Liloan Cebu really changed me a lot in a positive way. If ever I'll be endorsing a school to the young students,I'll probably choose LCC.It really opened doors for me and molded me to be who I am today!char! hehehe! The Student Formational Activity Coucil (SFAC) had trained me to be responsible and also challenged my 'announcement skills'!hehe!I would say that maybe a big part of my life and attitude is caused by my highschool Alma Matter.

I can still remember the times when we had our assignments yet we don't have the answers so we would go to school early just to copy answers from our classmates. It's always evident when our room is so noisy and daghan kaayo ug mga notebooks nga naglipana sa room!hehe! Also, after class when the broomsticks, mops and rags are abundant and are obvious in every room due to the cleaning every afternoon. I could still remember when my group had to clean the room for another whole week when we were punished because we left the room dirty! that was quite an experience.Who could also forget every month the first Friday Mass when the SFAC will line up from the school gate till the churchdoor and will serve as the roadline!that's quite a job!

Part of this post are the people whom I'm thankful for who supported me in my highschool life.
*Sr. Ma. Corazon del Carmen OSA-our school directress who always gives us a smile that brightens our day.

*Mdme. Lumapas-who molded me to be responsible and to accept tasks no matter how big it is.

*Ms. Rentoy-my 4th-year adviser that really cares for me and my other classmates though we had some bad times.

*Ms.Arias-my Filipino teacher who trained us to be actors and actresses.

*Ms. Nobles-I'll never forget the 'Best Actress Award' that you gave me during a role play!that's really a big thing for me.

*Mr. Ponce-who trusted my writing skills in the Journalism Club.

*Ms.Estrera-who gives so much patience to me knowing that I hate numbers.

*Ms. Garbo- my 1st-year teacher that never fails to crack jokes every Social Studies time.

*Ms. Suson-who taught us HTML in our Computer Class.

*and to all the teachers who helped me all the way, thank you so much!

I will also not forget my companions for four years in highschool that I shared my laughter, tears, anger and all the idiotic and crazy activities with...no other than my classmates! (in alphabetical order ni bai hap)

Meet the TIUMPENZ....

I wanna give my bonggacious classmates aka TIUMPENZ members a space here in my account but before I introduce them all to you, I wanna tell you the history of TIUMPENZ..

History:

TIUMPENZ was founded last 2007 when I was in the mood of making my own group. It all started with a bunch of CS Pilot F1 college students who were really having a hard time with PROGRAMMING(swear..it's really hard)! Every discussion, it would take most of the students except for Ligemm, Maggie and Julie to process the whole discussion! some would even faint(lol.just kidding)!Okie fine, I can't put into words how it all began but I know for sure that it came from the word "PENTIUM", a computer-related thing(i dont want to give a boring discussion about it okay?) and we inverted, reversed, shuffled the letters of the word and puff..."TIUMPENZ" later on existed without prior notice!

Definition:

TIUMPENZ is a group of intergalactic, fabulous and gifted Programmers-wanna-be showered with a brilliant way of thinking yet processing and downloading problems still occur! Together with their unearthly looks and minds are their golden hearts that can be made "prenda" for financial purposes!Though we all came from the different parts of Philippines, we are still one in mind and looks in terms of picture-taking!"Kung nagpapicture ang isa, magpapicture ang tanan"..this is our golden rule!

TIUMPENZ is a group of CS Pilot F1 students formed for the sole reason of helping one another especially when we're working out our assignments! wahaha!

Vision:

A world-class idiotic organization continuously glamorizing highly-frustrated, appetitive-driven and overqualified F1s.

Mission:

To provide idiotic beautification for the total glamorization of F1s committed in practicing interdependence and in meeting the demands of our fellow fabulous and glamorous communities.

about me that you do or don't probably know

1. APPETITEoverREASON.I firmly believe that if you satisfy your appetite first, your reason will then work. In tagalog: Anong magagawa ng utak sa kumakalam na sikmura? tubag!!
2. I am obsessed with David Cook! I'm his greatest and most fabulous supporter since day 1 of American Idol. I even have a collection of his songs and pictures and all those stuff that a die-hard fan would have!
3. I hate insects, worms, reptiles! duh, who doesn't? probably Kuya Kim Atienza and friends!
4. I can't stand watching horror films! I think the only film that I had the courage to watch was "Sukob" because I was with my friends in the theatre but if I'm alone, never mind! I'd rather count the strands of my hair than watching that!
5. I'm a frustrated singer! The frustrated person that you could ever imagine! Do you want a sample??
6. I hate, hate, hate Physics! I just don't get the point of studying the motion of a ball that is thrown, coin that is falling off a building and all those little , idiotic stuff! duh, who cares! I hope some(no! I hope many) would agree with me! I would probably want to lead an 'Anti-Physics' organization banning Physics in school that is continuously torturing students, from highschool till college! what the heck!

emblazedParadox??? what the hell is that??

When I was in the quest of formulating something to beautify and design my blogspot account, I was thinking of a nice and catchy name for it! I wasn't able to formulate something in the internet shop so I just decided to continue my quest at home. I think and think and think until I found myself stucked with the word "paradox"! When I searched its meaning in the Encarta Dictionaries, it was posted as a noun meaning "person of opposites: a person with seemingly self-contradictory qualities", it was then the perfect word to describe who Ethileen Irese D. Eborra really is! Then I searched again for another word until I came up with "emblaze", an adjective that means "light something up: to light up or illuminate something" that would also describe me! After that, I then stopped my quest and tried to reflect if those words are really meant to describe me, of course YES!-in big bold letters with an exclamation point! Who truly am I?Ethileen Eborra is an all-grown up(physically) yet a mentally childish lass who sometimes don't understand herself! hehe!Sometimes, I got my nerves to be energetic and enthusiastic and I would even lead my friends to do all those idiotic and crazy stuff but sometimes, there's those idle moments when I just wanna sit at the corner, talk to nobody and got my moodmeter very low! That's for the "paradox" part. Now, let's tune into the "emblazed", despite all of life's challenges, trials, obstacles and negative things that came and will come along my way,I still empower myself with my confidence that I would say I got since the day I was born! For totality, I am never the person who is very sensitive and would walk away from life everytime something bad happens! I am a contradiction to that! I see life as something more and way, way, way above life's problems!Life for me is a sequence of characters engraved in a stone! It can never be changed! Our lives are already predefined by Above so no matter how big your problem is, don't worry, our lives always end with a happy ever after!

Tour away from the dumb Intrams

Last Friday, August 22,2008, the CSS officers where given the chance to pull their butts off from the boring Intramural days! (Sorry if I'm harsh on Intramurals! I'm not sporty!). We had our fieldtrip with the CIT bus as our mode of transportation(finally, I was given the chance to pimp into the CIT bus!) and our destination... AsiaTown, IT Park.It was my first time to go there and I was really amazed! It's a fully developed area where all the computer enthusiasts are dumped in to do their jobs! really cool huh?? First stop was at the eTeleCare. We had Lyn as our tour guide and she was really cool and energetic!! I was stunned by what I had learned about call centers! Before, I don't really get what really call center agents do until I was enlightened by the tour. The facilities of eTeleCare are really nice! They had their locker rooms, and sleeping area where agents can sleep there, the nursery room, for agents who have their little angels, there pantry, which for me is my favorite place because their drinks are for free especially the Nescafe and Milo freez. I was fortunate to be given an empty cup to fill it in with any drink that I want! I then chose the Milo freez! I took the opportunity for I know that it's for free whereas in the CIT canteen, it would cost me P10-15! wahaha! I also love their real workplace! the ambiance was really nice! The tour at the eTeleCare led me of dreaming of becoming a call center agent but I'm not confident with my communication skills! well, I can speak english but it's not conversational! I'm actually exposed in the environment where the people do study English but doesn't apply it! gosh, me neither! but now, I'm trying! hehe! Okay, now back to the tour, after eTeleCare, we had our lunch, pictorial moments and after that, back to action, we then visited 1&1, one of their speakers actually gave us the never-ending nosebleed that we always get during exams. He tried to explain to us weird stuff that isn't part of the scope of our knowledge so we just go...'yah,yah,yah, whatever!'. After 1&1 was NCR, I was really astonished knowing that they design those scanners, kiosks that are really on the flow in the commercial business nowadays! really amazing! After NCR was NEC, the experience there was really bad! The tour guide is not accommodating maybe because we were late when we arrived there! Over-all, the tour was great! It doesn't only gave me more knowledge about the IT world but it also gave me the chance to know the other CSS officers better!

Ethileen Unfearlessly Defined...

E-eating is what I do most of the freakin’ time!! It stimulates my taste buds and drives me in the greatest pleasure of life! As what they always say,“Di bale nang matakaw, wag lang gutom”

I want to explore everything outside the borders of my country! It's not that I'm not nationalistic but for me, this is my dream and I want it so bad!I want to experience other countries' culture, the snow and all those stuff that this country can't offer! NO OFFENSE

E-entertainment is what I'm not bored of! whether in the field of showbiz, games and gadgets or just the ordinary hour of watching a show on TV!I just want to be ...entertained just to kill the boredom.

E-evening is my favorite time of the day!I got the chance to give time to myself, do all the necessary works for tomorrow and it's the time when I can get my good night sleep!
